Summary:
The merchandiser is responsible for the maintenance and display arrangement of plant products to local stores in their assigned region.
The employee will help to drive sales by ensuring a high-quality, fully stocked display in stores.
Duties/
Responsibilities:
Pull products from each store's designated area, and bring them to the display Check product for sell by dates, bad flowers, mold, or other defects Check plant soil and water if needed Reorganize shelves and clean all surfaces of the display to follow standards and schematics Clean floor around the display of any spilled soil or water Communicate and give report via company-approved communication apps, including taking pictures to be uploaded to the app This includes:
the display before service, remaining back stock of both flowers and plants, any damaged items, the display after the service, vendor binder sign in/out, and the sign out Communicate and give report to store management regarding the status of the displays when finished Performs other related duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of merchandising best practices Creativity, and a knowledge of how to best present products Education and
Experience:
Some experience with merchandising, sales, or floral work preferred Valid Driver's License required Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time Must be able to use/willing to learn to use a pallet jack and flat cart Must have the ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and reach to complete assigned tasks Other duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
