years' experience with capital equipment machine design/build Integral part of design team to insure DFM(Design for Manufacturability)strategies are implemented on all new product designs Conduit between design/development team and the manufacturing team/contract manufacturers Ability to read blue-prints and understand multiple drawing formats and schemes Abilitytodesigntimestudiesandcommunicatemanufacturingcostanalysistouppermanagement Provide process/product improvement concepts to minimize manufacturing costs Use computer-aided design (CAD) programs (Solid Works, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD) to aid manufacturing and minimize production downtime Problem solving with regards to historical existing designs and updating documentation appropriately Modifying existing designs i.
enext generation of existing product lines Writing regular progress reports and presenting them to project managers and clients Education, Experience & Certification Associates degree in mechanical/industrial engineering or demonstrated equivalent work experience Hands on knowledge of a variety of manufacturing process' BS in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering discipline is preferred Demonstrated ability to solid model and create detail drawings Demonstrated depth of knowledge in a variety of fabrication and machining process' Previous experience in a capital equipment design/development and manufacturing environment Previous experience as a user of an ERP system Desired Skills Strong math and Microsoft office skills Attention to detail Problem solving and entrepreneurial spirit in problem solving Proficient written and oral communicator of technical subjects Current knowledge of new manufacturing methods and technologies Excellent project management skills Interested in hearing more?
